As Dorothy Vaughan worked with and for NASA, there were, evidently, some struggles and hardships. Being an intelligent black woman was seen as a shock to many, not all, white people during Vaughan's time. There was unmistakable bias and discrimination against the intelligent, young women who strived for greatness. Those kind of women weren't wanted around because of their capability. Time has shown close-minded people that black women are capable of anything and everything, no matter what anyone says or believes.
